New carpeting question
We desperately need to have the carpeting replaced in our bedroom. (who's idea was it to buy white?)
Anyway, we have a ton of furniture in there and it would have to be moved out including the king bed which is 4 poster with a headboard.
Do you think the carpet installers would do this? Do you think it would cost more?
I physically can't move this stuff. It's heavy.
We are going to paint first though..

Re: New carpeting question
When we had our carpet redone a few months back, one of the rooms had furniture that couldn't be moved out of the door. They covered it with blankets and moved it out of the way for no charge..we used Emipre.

really? wow...I would think it would be very hard to carpet that way. I guess they reun into all kinds of problems.
How was the whole Empire experience?

We used Empire for our carpets and our laminate floors and had a great experience both times!!

We used All About Floors on Broadway. our rooms were empty, but they would have moved the furniture if they had to. Not sure if it would have cost more. I like dthem bc they let us take the swatch boards home - a lot of places don't do that.

We used EMpire too and they said they would have done the same thing if we had furniture, but we didn't, since we hadn't moved inside the house yet.

Re: New carpeting question
good to know. I have a giant bedroom set..it's heavy and I really don't have a staging area to put it.
First things first...paint, then carpet.
