NEVER AGAIN - Disney booking vent

I'm SOOOOO annoyed right now.

I've booked most of my Disney trips myself and once or twice used a Disney specialist TA. I had used a former co-worker who does travel on the side for our honeymoon to Sandals and so I figured I'd give her the business to book Disney. NEVER AGAIN.

OMG.

First of all, I know so much more about everything than she does. She couldn't answer ANY of my questions. I asked for the AP rate and she booked it, but did not check as she should have to tell me that I had a Pin code that was actually a lower overall rate since 2 of my dates under the AP code were at rack. When I called Disney they told me my PIN was cheaper but they can't change it for me since I booked through a TA. I asked her to change it. She didn't. Now she's looking for payment in full. I thought Room only's were paid at the time of check in? Who wants to bet that the pin code rate is no longer available? WHo wants to @@$$@ bet?

The ONE dining I asked her to do for me was a Candlelight Processional package at La Hacienda. She books it. I ask her for the Confirmation. I finally get everything online and make my otehr ressies and guess what? It's an the freaking San ANgel Inn. She's trying to blame Disney. I don't think so. I call myself and La Hacienda is now, weeks later, booked up.

My flights are NOT connected to DME, so I have to call that in myself. Seriously. SERIOUSLY?

What a headache.

Do yourself a favor and ONLY book with a Disney specialist.

I agree. There is no reason to involve a TA in a Disney booking. I always get great deals when I call Disney directly and book through them.

I'm sorry that happened! But just so you know, TAs should have access to the same rates as calling disney direct. They are both making the booking through the same system. Hotels entice TAs to book with them by raising the commission, which gets paid 30 days after you depart. It may be that the commission was higher on one rate vs another and the TA booked the one that was in his/her best interest.
