Nervous--UPDATE

I have been spotting since yesterday morning. There is nothing on my pants, it's just when I wipe. It is a pink color. I went to the dr yesterday and she said it looks like a normal 5 week pregnancy but it's hard to tell bc it's too soon for the heartbeat. I guess it's a good sign that it is still very light and I don't have cramps but I am soooo nervous. Has anyone had the spotting without having a miscarriage? How long would it take for me to know if I am having one? I go back to the dr tom to compare levels from yesterday. I just can't stop worrying.

UPDATE: So 6 days later and I am still bleeding It is still just when I wipe and a tiny tiny bit on a liner once or twice a day. Today was a little different though. When I used the bathroom, I saw some blood in the bowl and when I wiped there were a few clots. I am so nervous. I still don't have any cramps. I spoke with the nurse today and she said my HCG level went from 30,000 on wed to 51,000 on Fri. My progesterone level went from 10.8 on wed to 11.9 on fri. She didn't seem too concerned and told me to call if I start soaking a pad. Is this normal what is happening or is it the start of a miscarriage? Would I have had one already? My next appointment is the first week in April and I am losing my mind. I feel so sad and depressed not knowing

I had the same kind of spotting at the same week in my pregnancy. She is now 4 years old. Try not to worry. Prayers everything is great

Completely normal. I had it and my DS is 2!!!

I actually think its more normal to have it than not.

i had no spotting with DD, but this pregnancy i had full out bleeding and i am now 31 weeks

I had that.. and I had a mc previously so I was a nervous wreck. But when I had the miscarriage it turned into heavier bleeding within a day or 2. When I just had the light spotting it cleared up in a day or 2 and I'm currently 7 months and all is going perfectly.

I had pink/brown spotting for a day or two early on with both of my first two pregnancies. Everything was completely fine and I had two perfectly healthy boys!

Thanks for all of the replies. It makes me feel a lot better to know that others had this problem and went on to have healthy pregnancies. I hope I have the same outcome. Thanks again

I had light spotting like you described my entire first trimester with DS. He turns 2 next week!!! Try to relax

I had exactly what you described weeks 5-9.

Spotted with my last two pregnancies. Was put on progestrone with my youngest. Everything turned out fine.
