Nervous
I have my appt with GYN tonight or Pap & referral to RE.
My appt is with a new dr in the practice( no choice- all others were booked until Jan). I'm nervous she will suggest other methods before going to RE.
I'm trying to stay positive but it's so hard. I'll be by myself (unless by some miracle DH gets out of work early) and often I don't say/do anything when I goto the dr. I don't stand up for myself.
Add to it I'm already worried about the RE appt, which isnt until 1/12. The anticipation is agony.
I know things could be worse, but waiting is a challange. After 12 months of trying wih no luck.

Here I sit in the waiting room. Waiting. Just found out its not the new dr I am seeing, it's the Nurse Practitioner.
May not be able to get referral.

you should still be able to get whatever referral it is that you need... when i worked in an ob/gyn office, it never mattered if patients saw the dr or np, they always were able to get a referral. i almost always see my np as opposed to the dr... easier to get an appt, plus i just love her. maybe you will love this np too! good luck

Do you need the referral for insurance purposes? If so, I'd tell them the situation and say that if the dr is not in tonight, that you will come pick it up tomorrow or something! Good luck!

Yes, I need referral for ins purposes. I love the other NP, so hoping I love this one too!

My NP wrote my referral. Just remember to be your own advocate - being pushy is sometimes a good thing when it comes to your health and well being.
