Neighbor's music?

I think I'm a negative Nellie lately but maybe it's because I'm homebound with a 4-week old or I'm hormonal....

We live on a dead-end block and we've almost always had concerns about our neighbor two doors down. Long story short, they've had the cops called on them by all the neighbors in our cul de sac for domestic disputes, fights on their porch, assault, etc. We know the local precinct also has a file on them for suspicious drug activity as well.

The past month (since I've been home with DS) one of the sons has been blaring his house music everyday...so loud in fact that I can hear the bass inside my house with the windows closed. I don't think it keeps DS awake but it's DRIVING ME CRAZY. It'd be one thing if they were having a party or if it was 1-2 hours per day -- but from noon-6pm EVERY day is driving me crazy.

Just venting - I know there's not much I can do - they're allowed to play music in their house but it's affecting my quality of life and I'm just whining about it.

you can report it to the police, they can blast their music but there is a certain decible level that cannot be exceeded, and it sounds like if you can here the bass in your closed up house 2 houses away, they are well over it.
