Neighborhood vs. Sub-development

We are back looking at houses again!!!!!We recently looked at a Victorian. It is on a gorgeous cul-de-salc with 7 similar homes off a industrial (pediatrician offices) road (far down though and you can't see any of the buildings). However, I have always pictured myself in a neighborhood that have several blocks similar to one another. I am curious to people's thoughts on a neighborhood vs. a sub-development (with only 7 houses on a cul-de-salc).

Any thoughts.........
