Negotiating
We have our eye on a new construction house and we made an offer on it that was a lot lower than what the price of it was. The builder did not accept it, which we kind of expected and came back with a price that was like $2500 lower than the asking price.
In your opinion, what is the norm on new construction? Are they less likely to lower the price because it's more of their business and not a homeowner who might need to move? I keep hearing that it's a buyers market so I was hoping they might knock a lot off.
Thanks for any answers! This is our first time buying a house!

Re: Negotiating
there was a thread the other day, most of the responses is that builders usually dont negotiate on price, but the will negotiate on upgrades.
