Negitive Blood
Anyone else have - blood? I've already had to get a shot (in the butt no less) of Rogain (i think that's what it's called). How many do you have to get? It's really annoying LOL.

My mom had to go through that with us. She is O- and my brother and I are both O+, it's for your protection.
They didn't give my mom the shot for some reason when she had my brother and some of his antibodies, the O+, crossed the placenta at birth, and if she would have tried to have another baby, the antibodies would have attacked the new baby or my mom.

I had it and its no big deal. They gave it to me in my arm at 28 weeks, I am B-. When Luka was born they tested him and he was O+ so they gave me another shot. If he was O- I wouldnt have needed it.

I dont think you have to get it in the butt. When I went she asked if I wanted it in my thigh or arm and I said arm, she said it might hurt more, but it didnt hurt at all. When I got the second shot in the hosiptal I also got it in my arm and that also didnt hurt.

I got that shot (rogam) in my butt and didn't feel a THING, thought they hadn't done it yet.
HOWEVER...the doc said he would stick it in the fleshy part of my cheek..
turns out the whole thing is fleshy, lol!!! I have good padding!!

I'm RH- and they told me I need this but my dr. who did my IVF told me that I wouldn't need it because my DH is negative also.

I had the shot of Rhogam after my m/c.
