Negative nelly post
So sorry for the negativity but I'm miserable! by now, I should be used to being in pain 24/7 but I'm not! The meds or ovulation has got me doubled over in pain in my abdomen. It kills me when I try to get up or sit down. Poor dh has become my servant. I took three tylenol and a hot bath and I'm feeling slightly better but no where near normal. It should go away by friday, like it did last month.
Does anyone else get this pain? any words of encouragement on getting through the next two weeks without becoming suicidal? thanks for listening

Re: Negative nelly post
I am listening and feeling everything you have said. Although I am going through IVF----I feel the exact same way! I posted today that I was a job as the GY blimp.
DH has been great though because it is uncomfortable. He just laughed at me and said... "lay down...I will do it!"....AFTER leaving an ice cold ice pack on his side of the bed! Wooopsie!
FEEL BETTER!!!

For what it's worth, I never experienced that kind of pain and IUIs usually did not work for me So maybe it's a good sign!!
Also .. not that it's a problem from doing it today, but you may want to ask if it's ok to do a hot bath now It probably fine, but just something I'd ask about if it were me...

Re: Negative nelly post
I have done 4 or 5 IUI's, sad but I can't remember and will probably have one this weekend and I have never had pain before.
Sometimes I get some pre-O twinges and I always get O pains even before the IUI's, but really nothing different.

Re: Negative nelly post
I did tell him about the pain and he said it was a good thing. i think im much more sensitive than the average person due to having fibromyalgia, which is essentially a pain disorder.
prunepie and pennycat are you effing serious about the hot baths? Do u know why theyre bad? I'll ask him today. thanks for your support ladies

Re: Negative nelly post
I hated when the doc told me it was a good thing to feel discomfort, because it meant the meds were working. Hopefully this is a sign of the good things to come!!!

Lots of fluids, my fav is SmartWater. Call the Dr. if the pain gets to be too much.

I agree about looking into the hot baths, it's my understanding that it not good. You can't be in hot baths or hot tubs when you're pregnant so they probably want you to follow that protocol.
