Need to vent about Dr.'s

Need to vent quick cause all DH tells me is not to stress.

I have been on disability since Jan due to the hyperemesis , Zofran pump and now pre term labor.

My job is GREAT about it, all they require is a letter monthly stating when I will see the Dr. Next and my medical records of the last month. They give me two weeks from the date of letter to submit.

EVERY FREAKING month its late or incomplete or just not sent.

I have to call the office 4-5 times and ask them what the issue is. Its a simple fax. Its nothing major to be done.

I mentioned this to the Dr the last 2 times and she gets very defensive and said they cant rush my stuff when they have so much to do. I give them 2 weeks to fax over a few pieces of paper??

NOW, disabilty just called, said that they dont know what to do, they keep giving me more time and cannot do it any longer. ALL THEY NEED is my Dr to say when I will be re-evaluated and the results of my last few specialist appnts.

I asked the Dr to send it on March 29th, nothing happened, then I mentioned it again on April 9th to the secretary, It was sent imcomplete...I called again on April 10th and again on April 12th. Told it woudl be done all 4 times!!

I call and I get the NASTIEST attitude from the secretaries, like Im asking them to cure Cancer for me.

I cant do it anymore. I hate calling, I end up in tears b/c Im begging them to do something, they promise they will and then I hear a week later they didnt.

WHAT the heck do I do now?

They told me just now, its lunch time, call back after 3:30, and they will see if someone can do it for me

Any ideas how I can make this easier?

Oh no! Thats horrible that the Dr's office is treating you this way! Is this Dr H's office? Thats just horrible!!!

some drs. offices are just like that...I would love to offer some great advice but the only thing I can say is to try and win the affections of one of the staff and maybe you can get what you need on time..

I had the same type of issue w/ Dolan Health Care Center when I was pregnant with the twins..all in all they just couldnt be bothered. I switched b/c of it.

I am so surprised. Since you have an appt every month can you get some paperwork that they can fill out in front of you while you are there?
I am so sorry. I never had a problem but I also didn't have as many forms for them to fill out!

Oh they really s u c k!!!

Hmmm....can you write the letter and just bring it for the dr to sign? Maybe that would expedite it? It still will stink BUT you will know it would get done.

At least your job is good about it!

That really suxxxx - and like you need the added stress - I don't know what you can do - I'm sorry - I just hope they get it to them soon!

I think you need to flip your lid on them thats what I think you need to do. I used to work for a dentist's office and we slacked off yes, BUT when a complaint got to the doctor himself then oh boy...thats when the $hit would hit the fan. I suggest you speak to the doctor in a firm tone and ask her what the problem is...she should have control over her staff and do whats right for he patients...especially when all it takes is a simple friggin fax!

Im sending a fax right now, because if I call again today I know Im gonna be a screaming/crying mess.
