Need suggestions for window treatments

We are renovating our family room and I'm having trouble finding something I like for the windows. We have a big window on one side and sliding glass doors on the other. Our walls are blue and the couch is beige. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Sorry pics are so big.

I think those windows are so beautiful I wouldn't want to cover them with heavy drapes! Do you need to put anything on that door? I love the way it looks on its own.

i tend to agree, i would simply do a thicker white panel on these windows and let them puddle the floor. keep that semi-circle open on the top...

what does everyone else think?

Thanksks everyone. I really dont want to cover them up but I dont want people to be able to see in at night. The window faces the front of my house. I'm looking for something that I can keep open during the day and then close at night. Keep the suggestions coming!

What about Plantation shutters? You can keep them opened or closed...and if they are closed, you can open the slats to let light in. Another option is to have them double hung and keep the bottom shutters closed with the top set open. Beautiful color and windows in that room!

ETA: Those will only work on the window, not the sliding glass door.

You have beautiful windows!

Panels that drape a bit on the floor would look great on that large front window. Then you can keep them mostly open during the day since that window is so beautiful! Plantation shutters like the above poster mentioned would also look great on the window as well. I have plantation shutters in two of our rooms and we love them.

For the sliding glass door, you may just want to hang one long rod above the doors and put a panel on each far side of the doors. That way the door is still functional but you can close the panels at night for more privacy. And use a rod that sticks far enough out that the doors can slide easily back and forth behind each panel.

I wouldnt put any treatments on the windows, I would go with Hunter Douglas silouhettes.

I would do a treatment on the slider simple pole with a coordinating fabric to match your decor.
