Need Suggestions: Birthday Party Favor
Hello ladies,
I'm a huge lurker but rarely post. I'm having my daughters 1st Birthday party in September and I need some suggestions on a favor.
I don't want to do a traditional goodie bag. I'd prefer to get a more expensive/more useable toy/favor for each child.
Children range from 1-8 - most are between 3 and 5.
I'd like to spend around $5 per favor. Do you have any suggestions for a boy and a girl favor? I just can't seem to think of anything.
My sister suggested water bottles that I can customize with each child's name...

a friend of mine did customized boxes- to hold stuff in. DS uses his for his little men.
She actually used someone from LIF- Christina if you read this post, please answer her!!

We did crayon keeper rolls... the kids AND parents loved them!! I gave them out to the kids after they finished eating and had a table set aside with coloring books.
It was a cupcake theme...

my friend did books as favors and I loved it!! She gave each kid little books.

For my son's bday I gave these cups: cups to the kids and they all loved them. I put some candies in them and wrapped them in cellophane paper. If you take the lid off they are mugs so they're good for older kids as well. The only issue I had is that since they're fragile I had to order them a few times b/c at least one in the package would arrive cracked. But sears was great about. I also signed up for the free shipping thing (it's a 30 day trial) so shipping was always free.

I used Expressive Events (an LIF vendor) for DS's birthday. I did beach pails for the little kids and water bottles for the big kids that were personalized.

Every kid loves Play Doh and for the young ones they could just save it until they are a little older. $4.99 a bucket
