Need some reassurance
I got my first blood test last week and the doctor called me yesterday and informed that the hCG level (564) and progesterone level were good for 4 weeks 5 days.
He reminded me that my next bloodwork (which I got done yesterday) is the most important info to see if my numbers double, etc.
SO even though my progesterone # is good - I am a nervous wreck.
I woke up in the middle of the night in sheer panic, squeezed my boobies, and felt as if they weren't as sore or tender as the day before. They are still swollen, but I swear they are less tender and have less little bumps on them than yesterday.
Is this a normal way to feel? Is it because I miscarried last pregnancy and I am overly aware and cautious? Or - and this is what I am afraid of - am I just super in tune with my body and instinctly know something is wrong?
I'm scared and just want to feel happy and excited, not nervous.

Re: Need some reassurance
It is totally normal. In the beginning there were some days I couldn't even put a bra on, my breasts hurt so bad, and then there were other days where I felt nothing! It used to scare the crap out of me too.

Re: Need some reassurance
I know its easier said than done, but please try not to worry
Remember the # doubles, so in a few days it will be over 1000, and you will soon be able to see your little one through a sonogram. Unfortunately you just have to wait a few days.
I was terrified that I was going to lose this baby too. First sonogram nothing was seen, not even a sac. The next week we saw and heard the heartbeat. Its amazing what a few days can do! Hang in there!

Re: Need some reassurance
I was a total mess my first 8-9 weeks. I must have taken at least 6-7 home pg tests within 2-3 weeks after my first positive and even after my doctor's visits. I would squeeze my boobs all the time to make sure they still hurt, Go to the bathroon 10 times a day to make sure there was no blood. I was a complete wreck. It's totally normal to feel this way. I don't think my anxiety calmed down until about 11-12 weeks. I know it is easier said than done, but try not to worry about. It's totally normal to be anxious.

Re: Need some reassurance
I know in the beginning I had some issues with bleeding and bad first trimester screening and I was always anxious something was going wrong.......so I think its pretty normal to worry, especially in the beginning. we are here for you any time you need reassurance
