Need some inspiration!
I just need to get some inspiration. I am sure everyone could use a little boost on this rainy day!
I have had 2 canceled cycles and it's starting to wear on me. I just want to crawl back into bed and sleep for a very long time!
I know many women here (and graduates) have stories that will inspire. I just need to hear some of them right now.
So, please (I know it's been done before) feel free to share your success stories.

Re: Need some inspiration!
I'm sorry you're feeling down. I know how trying this can all be. I pray you get your bfp soon
Dh and I were dealing with pretty severe male factor IF issues. We had 6 iui's.... 2 of which ended in miscarriages. I thought we were ONLY dealing with male factor issues until I went for extensive testing and it was found I had PCOS and blood clotting issues. I was extremely discouraged upon hearing this news. But after much thought I realized people have had successful pregnancies even in our situation so I had to keep moving forward. I talked to my new RE and he suggested IVF for us and I was reluctant but decided to go ahead with it. I'll be honest - I was SCARED of IVF b/c of all the needles and the whole intense protocol but it wasn't half as bad as I thought. We had our ER on 8/22 and the ET on 8/25 (our 9th wedding anniversary). And on 9/4 at exactly 8pm my doctor called from his cell phone to tell me it worked. Dh and I were estactic. The first beta was great but when I went for my 2nd beta it didnt double. It went up but not as much as he wanted. The Dr prepped me for the possibility of this not being a viable pregnancy. He sent me for another beta the next day and I remember crying as the nurse took my blood b/c I thought that I was going to have another m/c. I drove to my mom's house after the bloodwork and slept in my old room b/c I was so depressed. When my cell phone rang at about 3pm my heart sank thinking that I was going to get bad news. BUT it was good news and I breathed the biggest sigh of relief ever. The most intense emotional rollercoater I've ever been on all in one day. Thankfully everything progressed nicely and Baby is due in 2.5 months. I just want to say I pray for you ladies all the time. I truly pray you will be blessed with your bfp's soon....stay strong - it will happen. I know it's easier said than done b/c I've been there. Love you girls XOXOXOXO

Re: Need some inspiration!
Really quick. I knew something was wrong after four cycles. I temped every day, bd starting on day 10 every other day until I got a positive on opt kit, then bd three days in a row. I lied to get an appt. The doctors oringinally blew me off, but agreed to run bloodwork and go for (forget the name), the exam to see if your tubes are blocked. Well bloodwork was fine but one tube was blocked. Doctor told us to try six more months as I still had one good tube. We tried for 3 months and I called to schedule a lap surgery to unblock my tube. Surgery went well and we started on iui's w/ clomid. The first one didn't work but the second one exactly 12 months of trying to the day was a positive. My little boy will be 1 on Friday.
Stick with it. I had plenty of down days and know how it feels when you can't even imagine being pregnant. It will happen. Some people roads are longer than other, but keep the faith. Someone on here sent me the Prayer for Motherhood for St. Gerard. I prayed this prayer every day and continued to pray it throughout my pregnancy. If you want it, it's yours, just FM your address.
Good luck, this board was instrumental in my journey.

Re: Need some inspiration!
It took us a long time to conceive the first time -- 12 IUI cycles, 3 fresh IVF cycles and 10 FET's...when we lost that baby we were very unsure if we wanted to start all over again. We decided to give it a shot for a year and we did a fresh IVF cycle with no transfer and on our first FET of that cycle we conceived our son, Colin, who is now a happy 7.5 month old baby. Everyone has a different threshold, but remember it can and will happen - especially if it has happened before.

Re: Need some inspiration!
DH and I had been trying on our own for 6-7 months and nothing was happening. I was very regular with my cycles, even after coming off BCP for a gazillion years, my hsg was normal, DH counts were good- just wasn't happening. I had my first RE consult in April of 2009 and freaked out. I felt like a failed, broken woman. I was almost ashamed and embarrased that I couldn't get PG on my own, like everyone else. After a few more months of nothing, I came to peace with the RE, knowing it isn't about how I got PG, just that I did and I kept my eyes on the prize at the end. We started out first IUI cycle with Clomid and Ovidrel in July 2009 and I had back to back IUI's in the beginning of August. I am very happy and lucky to say that the first IUI cycle was a success and we are expecting in late April. I know my story isn't as hard as what some of you ladies are experiencing, but I was around these boards for some time and saw many miracles. DH always says that this whole thing is bigger than us and it happens when the time is right. I truly believe that. And please know and believe it will happen. Good luck to you all and stay positive.

Re: Need some inspiration!
We tried for two years to get pregnant - Clomid, injectibles, IUIs, timed intercourse, overstimulation & cancellation - finally, on Easter Sunday 2009, I saw my very first BFP ever following my first IVF cycle.
are three months old tomorrow.
I hope you find some inspirations from graduates. Believe me I know how difficult the process is and I had many, many very dark days. Wishing you all the best.

Re: Need some inspiration!
It took us 4 1/2 years to get pregnant. Baby is due in May.
- 4 IUIS- BFN - IVF Fresh cycle- BFN - FET- BFN - IVF Fresh cycle- canceled due to poor response (converted to IUI- BFN) - IVF- Fresh cycle- BFN - IVF- Fresh cycle- BFP!
We paid for everything out of pocket (except for the donated meds on the last cycle) and honestly I don't know what I would've done if this last one didn't work. It is a miracle that I will never take for granted. I thank God everyday for this blessing. Don't lose hope! Mine was a very long journey and it was so difficult to keep going at times. Do not give up!

Re: Need some inspiration!
I had 4 pregnancy losses over 3 years-including 1 ectopic thatcaused emergency surgery and removal of my right tube. About 9 months later we did IVF. My FSH was 14.9! I did immune treatments and used Menopur and ganirelix. They rectrieved 8 embies, 5 fertilized and made it to day 3. We implanted 2 and I have 15 month old twin boys

Re: Need some inspiration!
I always knew that I'd have trouble getting pregnant, I just felt it. When I was 26 I stopped getting my period, for months at a time. One doc said PCOS the others said no way. When we decided to try for a baby, we saw a Dr. who put me on clomid but nothing else and needless to say, it didn't work. After a few months we stopped bc the timing was right in my life (STUPID!!) A year went by and I saw an RE and after lots of tests, we finally got started. I had countless blood tests, a sonogram, an HSG, another sono with water bc of something they saw in the HSG (which was nothing), then provera, and then it really started. I was put on clomid and was monitored with blood tests and sonograms (one of the weeks I was in there 3 times!) and then we triggered with Ovidrel and then went in for back to back IUI's. Then the progesterone cream started. And 13 days later, on Friday, February 13th, right after 3 PM, I got the call - we were pregnant! I could not believe it, I didn't think it had worked. My DS is now 4 months old and I sometimes still can't believe that we had a baby. Hang in there and try to stay positive even though sometimes that seems almost impossible to do.

bwahaha... making mommy and daddy wait for me was my evil plan!

JUST KIDDING!
My little love came after nearly 2 years... IUI, IVF, FETs... but I'd do it all again (and plan to!) in a heartbeat.

Oh my gosh Hayley I cannot even think after seeing that pic. Hang in there. We were told not even to bother with iuis to conceive DD. We went away the cycle before our ivf and came back pg. "Everyone" told us #2 would be even easier. It took almost 3 years, 4 iuis, 1 cancelled ivf, 4 fresh ivfs, a fet, and a miscarriage before I got pg from my last 2 embies and a FETin Sept. I am now expecting a little in late May.

Re: Need some inspiration!
I always had a feeling that I would have trouble gettting pregnant. (Never got pregnant w/ a few slip ups w/ my exes...sorry if TMI).
DH and I tried on our own for a little less than a year. We did 4 IUI's, had a few cancelled cycles, 1 chemical pregnancy, had a hysteroscopy, and finally decided to bust out the big guns and go to IVF. Thinking about IVF was much scarier than the actual process. (Most nights of stimming, just 1 little shot in the belly....didn't hurt at all!).
1st IVF was successful and I am due in June w/ twins. Honestly, I really still am in shock that I am pregnant....I really became convinced that it would never happen for us.
The love and support from this board got me through my worst days when no one IRL understood what I was feeling.
Praying for lots more success stories on this board!

Re: Need some inspiration!
DH and I tried for 2 yrs with no luck. Had three failed IUIs with clomid. 1st IVF cycle BFN, 2nd IVF cycle BFP resulting in m/c-ectopic, 3rd IVF cycle w/PGD not enough fertilized to send out (froze to batch), 4th IVF cycle cancelled due to poor response, turned into IUI BFN, 5th IVF cycle with PGD, 13 sent out only three came back "normal" transfered all three BFP
DS born 10/13/09...going back in April for IVF w/PGD to try for #2
Pleeeeeaaaaaaasssssseeeeee can I have a sister mom??????????????????
Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Need some inspiration!
We started seeing an RE after about 9 months of having no success on our own. I found out that I have egg quality issues. I did 5 medicated IUIs (3 with Clomid and 2 with Gonal-F). The first 4 were unsuccessful and the last one resulted in a m/c. We then moved on to IVF and were successfull! We now have a 2 week-old

Re: Need some inspiration!
hang in there! we tried on our own, got PG on the first try and had a m/c. Well, 10 months later and no PG we went to the RE...unexplained IF. We had tried everything and I don't know why it didn't work. 2nd and 3rd (b2b) IUIs gave us DD1. We decided to try again when she was 14 months old and got PG on our first try on our own! DD2 will be here in May! All I can say is that life sometimes has a bigger plan for each of us, even though we don't know it at the time. Turns out, for us, my mother needed me to care for her while she was ill. Now she gets to enjoy her granddaughters.

Re: Need some inspiration!
I was diagnosed with pcos and would never get a period without bc. I went to an re as soon as we wanted to try based on the recommendation from my obgyn. We went through 7 months of treatments with the re. Our third iui was a success and I'm now 13 weeks.

Re: Need some inspiration!
Im going to be very direct
Cervical stenosis
that led to
Laparoscopy/Hysteroscopy/D and C/Tubal Lavage Surgery
Unmedicated IUI Cycle 1 - No dice
Unmedicated IUI Cycle 2 - Chemical pregnancy/miscarriage
Unmedicated IUI Cycle 3 - PG w/an m/c at 6 and a half weeks.
Unmedicated IUI Cycle 4 - No dice
Unmedicated IUI Cycle 5:
And I would go through every hour of physical and emotional pain all over again for that end result.
