Need some feedback on a FET
I am a regular posting in hiding because I have family and friends who are on this site and we don't want them to know we are TTC # 2 just yet
DC is 2 1/2 and we conceived on our first IVF attempt. We will be doing a FET in early October and was hoping that I could get some feedback on your experience.
I spoke to the nurse at my doctor's office today, and she gave me an idea of what medications I would be on and a tentative timeline depending on when I get AF.
If you had a FET, can you share what your protocol was and if it was successful on your first try, or subsequent tries.
TIA
Sending to all!

Re: Need some feedback on a FET
i just went through the same situation recently. I got pregnant with DS who is now 2 on my first IVF, so I had my hopes up it would be easy this time around. I wish I hadn't gone into it thinking it would be super easy because it wasn't and I didn't prepare myself for it not working right away. I had 2 failed FETs before getting pregnant on the third with the last of my embryos. My doctor said that even though it worked the first time, the odds are still at best 50/50 each cycle.
First I did non medicated a non medicated FET and just timed it with my natural ovulation. It was nice bc there were less meds, but it was a lot more monitoring appointments to get the timing right. I was on a few meds (antibiotic, steroid, and progesterone) right before the transfer and then continued the progesterone after.
Then I did 2 medicated cycles. I was on estrogen pills following my period to suppress ovulation. It was much less monitoring and nice bc we could pick the day of the transfer. Then same meds as above before and after transfer.
Good Luck!
