Need some advice from the preg women

I just possted on the TTC board but i thought maybe someone on this board can help me out as well.

I have my Gino apt this month. Dh and i are going to start ttc in a few months. I was going to talk to her about PN Vitamins.

My question is how many people got genetic testing done b/4 TTC? Do they take the blood at your gyno apt, or do you get it done somewhere else?

Are there any other questions I should ask her before TTC.

When I told the docter I was trying to concieve she automatically recommended the genetic testing. I was just sent across the hall from the office I was going to, but could be diffrent for others depending how there staffing is there.. Could be done there or they will reccomend a place. The only advice I could give you is try to start to eat healthy and avoid any foods that are not good for you.

i also got genetic testing done, prior to becoming pregnant with my DS (b/c i am of jewish background and wanted to make sure, i didnt carry any genes for anything). I beleive i went to quest and they took the blood and sent the results to my doctors office

I haven't started TTC just yet but my doctor wanted to do some genetic testing before we being TTC. So I had blood taken at a lab and they sent the results to my doctor.
