Need recommendation...DS only spits up formula

I've been alternating breast milk and formula for a few days now as I wean him off BM. First I used the Similac for supplementing, but ALOT spilled out around his mouth as he drank it, and he'd spit up ALOT of it. I then tried the Similac Sensitive. He's better with that, but still spits up some. I know babies spit up, so it's not that big of a deal, but he doesn't spit up the BM at all (such a good boy, not wasting it), so I'm wondering if there is a better choice of formula for him to reduce the spit up. He also seems fussier after a bottle of formula, compared to a bottle of BM.

Not sure if this would make a diff, but similac also makes one just for spit up.

Could it be the bottle/nipple and not the formula itself? Maybe he's getting it a lot faster than the BM and that's causing him to spit it up?

I was going to suggest the same. Ask the ped about a rice thickened formula if the spit up persists. Spitting up is normal, but you will need to give the formula a chance for at least a week or two before switching.

I sup sometimes & my DD would dpit up Similac & Enfamil formula but NOT Gerber Hood Start, that stays down. BM is a lot gentler on babies tummies & easier & faster digested hence less fussy.

Cut out a 1/2 oz and see if that helps. Maybe it's to much formula. Bm is thinner right?
We use enfamil ar (added rice) and dd still spits up even at almost 9 months but it helped a lot.
