need recomendation for ob/gyn
looking for a recommendation for a ob/gyn who delivers at North shore and or LIJ. I work for north shore and its way cheaper for me to get my care within the system, but I don't know who is good. I loved my ob, but she is Winthrop so I need recommendations. Location preferable in Nassau county.
PS> I am not pregnant, just want to establish my care elsewhere before I try for number 2!!

I went to him with my first and had not the best experience. He is a nice guy and a fine doctor, but when I delivered DD1 he wasn't on call, so I had a bunch of random doctors attending to me. I never heard from him once while in the hospital.
I used Dr. Trongone with DD2 and it was far and away a much better experience. He was there to deliver DD2 and came to check on me while we were in the hospital.

I used Steven Cohen and had a great experience.
I really like him and the office.
Ended up with a c section and my scar looks great.

Sorry that happened with Dr Cohen. I always had a great experience at his office as well and when I was supposed to be induced DS's HR dropped and wound up with a crash c. Dr Cohen was amazing and was calm and so helpful for DH and myself. I was also nervous that if I went into labor when he wasn't on call I wouldn't see him though. He and his staff are great though.
I'm in NJ now and love my OB here as well, but that's no help for you. LOL

Ditto. Cafaro delivered my son. They were affiliated with Winthrop and just switched to North Shore LIJ

Women for Women OB/GYN. I used to see Dr. Duncan and the NP Amy Newman both were great. I heard all the MDs at that practice are good too. Their office is right next to LIJ.

I just started here after I gave birth and wanted to switch practices. I saw Dr. bell, she was really nice. Its so close to LIJ which is good for me since I work in LIJ. Not planning another baby yet, but seems to be a good practice
