Need quick WWYD advice.
Looking for a house currently and rent a house right now.
We don't have "real" furniture sets yet, and figure we buy that all when we get a house.
I hate my couch. Like, reallllllly hate.
It is disgusting (thanks to my DS) and falling apart. It is microfiber and I hate microfiber.
Anyway, I know it would be silly to buy a new couch now (because I will want a set once we have a house)
So, I figured I could get a cute futon now, and when we get a house, put it in a spare bedroom until I have another kid or something.
Do you think I should do that? Or just get a new sofa?
I want to be as cheap & smart as possible.

if you really want to go cheap, I would get a slip cover for the couch. they are easy to clean, and can make something instantly look better.

I tried a slipcover once, but it looked dumpy, does that make sense?
Like, it didn't fit right even though I bought the right size.

why not get a stretch slip cover, they look a lot cleaner and neater than the old slipcovers....Kohls is having a big home sale now.

eddiesmommy - thanks for the recc -- but my couch is weird. it's all one piece and you can't lift up the seating cushions.
i had tried a slipcover before, and i tried my best to tuck it into the open spots, but no luck. it looked like my couch was trying to dress up as a ghost for halloween.
god i hate this couch. it is what i refer to as the "MIL Couch," as she paid for it, 
i may wait or maybe i won't...i don't know how much longer i can take this couch!!
