the restaurant where the party is does not allow balloons, so there has been little thought on what to do for centerpieces for my niece's party.

since no one seems to be planning for centerpieces, i was thinking i could do something.

any quick/easy ideas that i can pull off by saturday? was thinking flowers, but not sure.

would only need about 4-5.

I'd head over to party city:

You can pick up graduation caps & toss them after you are done!

Alternately, you can pick up those grad teddy bears. They are everywhere now & should cost less than balloons. Would be good to hand out to all the little graduates.

I would definitely do flowers. Get the vases in Dollar Tree and flowers at Whole Foods.

You could even get plastic ones at michaels and use a coupon

But I would def do flowers or get dollar store vases/tall and short. Out water in and get floating candles

You could do sand pails with some flowering plants popping out, then have a winner take home the centerpiece!
Google it for an image. I did them once but don't have the picture handy. I got cheap potted begonias at the supermarket, pails at Dollar Tree and I stuffed newspaper into the bucket so the flowers stick out. Lots of nurseries have annuals on clearance at this time so you may even get new guinea impatiens or begonias there!

my sister just made centerpieces out of a mason jar, put those little magnetic letters in it and then flowers. They came out really cute. (she got everything at dollar tree)

Something similar to this - centerpeice
