Need preschool lunch ideas?
My DD doesn't like cold cuts. Can't pack nut products, so there goes peanut butter.
She eats humus at home, but I'm afraid at school she might just eat the crackers
She likes fruit, cheese, yogurt, apple sauce/revolution fruit squeezes, cream cheese & bagel.
It's only 1x/week that she stays extra with a lunch, but I don't want to pack the same thing each time.(even though she eats just about the same lunch every day
Am I over thinking this?

Re: Need preschool lunch ideas?
Everything (well, besides the hummus) that you listed above is what I send in for DS.
DS is a very, very, very picky eater.
He's at school for lunch 3 out of the 5 days.
We vary from:
Yogurt Cheese Chicken Nuggets (I put them in a hot/cold thermos) Crackers Pancake Waffle Cereal Fruit

Def try sunflower seed butter from Trader Joe's. It's delicious and she may not even tell the difference!! I'm allergic to peanuts and LOVE this stuff.
Maybe pasta with broccoli or something similar?

Re: Need preschool lunch ideas?
In my class I found some kids had the same exact lunch every single day of the school year.
So many kids had bagels with butter/cream cheese or jelly
You can do mac/cheese or grilled cheese cut up in pieces & put it in a thermos. You'd be surprised that even 2-3 hours later they are still warm.
Anything they can dip: fruit slices with yogurt or veggies w/ ranch
Tortilla chips w/ shredded cheese/salsa
Pasta salad

She is only 3.5, she goes 3d/wk 9-12, but Fridays she stays an extra 1.5, where she eats lunch and does and "enrichment program".
I never thought of the grill sneeze, thermos. Does it get soggy?
Maybe ill toast pita chips, salsa & cheese
She doesn't like pasta
TIA!!!!!

My comment was based on you saying you only had to PACK LUNCH one day a week (you did write that, right?). There is no reason to have to send a "variety" when it's only one day a week. You can give her everything else when she's at home having lunch!
