Need pediatrician recommendations - ronkonkoma/lake grove
DD currently goes to mid-Suffolk pediatrics in islandia but I just received a letter that they will no longer allow spacing of vaccinations. I prefer DD to get one vax per month (no flames or drama please). Does anyone have any recommendations for a new pediatrician? Preferably with evening and weekend hours. I loved how her current practice was open til 10pm and both Saturday and Sunday.
Ronkonkoma, lake grove, Holbrook, possibly smithtown ok.

Today. We are so disappointed especially since just a couple of weeks ago they told us it was fine.

I was told when I interviewed them that if you ask to space out vax's they will allow it but ask you to leave the practice. I've never asked as I follow the AAP schedule but I was under the impression that they already had this rule.

When I was there a few weeks ago for dd's 3 month we'll visit, they had me sign something that about spacing them out even though they don't recommend it but the doctor said they had no problem with it. Now one week before her 4 month checkup I get this letter and now I have to find a new dr bc she's supposed to get 3 vax on the regular schedule and I'd rather her not.

You could check out peds first. They're in medford on rt.112 right near portion road. I've never specifically discussed spacing vaccines with them but I've declined combining certain ones and they're fine with it. They've never asked me to come in between visits to catch up either. DD just had the MMR at her 2 year visit bc of two others we delayed so I think she's now caught up but I was never pressured to push anything earlier.
