need opinion bathroom question

I just did a mini- facelift to my bathroom. We changed the vanity, light and painted. I have a pink toilet and cuurenly the lid is white. I feel it stands out against the pink do you think I should change the lid back to pink? The walls are a deep brown/pink.

I think it would look better if the lid matched.

Me too but sometimes the pinks can be very different so it might be difficult to match. A new toilet is not all that much money if you know someone who can install it.

That's what I would suggest. A brand-new toilet is about $100, and can be swapped out in a matter of minutes. It takes me about 10 minutes to swap out a toilet. I've done several of them.

And, a new toilet comes with a matching seat and lid.... Chat Icon Chat Icon

My concern with gettting a brand new toilet right now is that I heard sometimes you need to re-do the floor bc the new toilet dosn't match up wit the tiling...if that makes sense.

Never heard of that. I can't see how that could even be possible. Absolute worst case scenario, you would need two wax rings instead of the usual 1. That's the worst that could happen, and that's not typical at all.

If they cut the tile to fit around the toilet then yeah but that's not usually how you do flooring

I would suggest a new toilet as well. Be advised that a decent toilet is over $100 and many do not come with a toilet seat. Avoid Glacier Bay (HD) and Aqua Source (Lowes). American Standard and Kohler are good brands.

If you opt to keep the current toilet and cannot find a matching pink seat maybe look for a dark wood seat to match the brown walls. I am not a fan of wood toilet seats but would prefer over a white seat and pink toilet.
