Need Inexpensive Exterminator/Termite Control

We moved into our home in December and we want to set up a contract with an exterminator, mainly for terminte treatments. Our house had quite a bit of termite damage when we moved in and we don't want history to repeat itself. Can anyone recommend an inexpensive service in Nassau?

We have a contract with Suburban and we are pleased.

We use professional exterminating. They came highly recommended and they have been great. I haven't seen an ant since.

Terminix doesnt use spray - we have a system in the ground that they put around the house - and the pets cannot get to.

It is $2000 for 2 years and they come to check out the system every 3 months and refill if neccessary.

After the 2 years you will not have termites anymore....

It is 100% worth it. Since the system was put in last year we have not seen one termite in the house, and each time terminix caomes to check the system out, they have not seen any termites at all

We have the same system and they said after our contract that we had to get another contract so they can keep filling and checking the traps and said they def can come back. And the couple of time they came back to check the traps they did use spray around the outside of our house I got a letter in the mail that they did this and checked the traps.

ETA: Two times when they came back they found active termites in our traps.

Maybe they are trying to scam us. We use the one out of Douglaston.

I doubt they are trying to scam you - If you think you are getting scammed, call a different location and ask about the spray and other questions you may have.

How long have you had the system in?

After the 2 years, it is true you need to keep the system and it will cost $500 a year I think for maintenance

We have had the system for over 2yrs. I did not renew because of the spraying and I thought even for the renewal that was a lot of money. I feel like I will be married to it forever.

I tried calling other places but they said I need to, of course put their system in. They can't use the traps we already have.
