Need Ideas please!

My boyfriends father passed away..the wake is today and the funeral is tomorrow. They as well as my boyfriend all live in Florida (I'm in the process of trying to find a job so I can move there) We both discussed it and i'm not going there for the wake or funeral b/c of money reasons and some other reasons. I was thinking of sending my boyfriend something just from me to him since I can't physically be there for him(aside from what I send his family) but I don't know what? Any ideas ? or should I just leave it alone and send something to the family only?

I would suggest sending them some food possibly. I know when my father passed a lot of the family did that. it was very good because nobody wanted to cook and there was a lot that we had to do.

I think sending a card telling him how sorry you are that you can't be there and sharing a few memories of his dad is more than enough... and it's more thoughful and personal than flowers.

As for the family, if you are close with them, I think sending flowers and maybe even arranging for a local deli to send over some food would be a really nice thing to do.

I would send an edible arrangement to the family, along with a card for your BF and then a separate one for his family.

Just make sure to call your bf every so often to let him know you're there for him even if you're not there in person.

Thanks Girls..maybe I'll send him some cookies a nice card and hopefully plan a trip there soon !
