Need Ideas
Every year my job does a chris kringle at the company holiday party, and every year the guy who calls out the people to come get their presents, he usually cracks a funny joke about them, he is very funny...
However participation for the secret santa has gone DOWN....can you guys give me other ideas for the holiday party that will include gifts for all along with our guy who does the one man comedy show with it???? thanks!!

Could you ask for everyone to chip in a small amount of money and have a group of people get inexpensive gifts for everyone? Things like coffee mugs, date books, small gift cards, scarfs, things like that?
It takes the pressure off picking out a gift for other people. Of course it's a lot to ask of the people doing the shopping, but it may boost your co-workers enthusiasm a bit.

hmm.. well, my family is weird- LOL but we get a kick out of donig a " white elephant" exchange every year. you take somethign from your house that you don't want anymore and wrap it up, and then everybody gets to pick from the pile and open it... not knowing what might be in there. its just funny to see the things people have laying around their hosue. last year we ended up with a VCR tape of "A fish called wanda" and a " The perfect wife" talking doll" LOL its just fun, and it really takes the pressure off of what to get the person...

This year we're doing a yankee swap with the family.
25.00 limit per person; everyone brings one wrapped gift and it gets placed into a pool of gifts.
Everyone picks a number and in that order you pick a gift from the pile. You can decide to keep that gift that you picked from the pile, or steal someone elses gift that was already unwrapped. A gift can be stolen a maximum of 3 times. The person that had their gift stolen then picks from the pile.
ETA: This can be done with gag gifts or 'real' gifts, or a combo of both.
