 | Need help with sleep and eating schedule OK, so DD is 10 weeks old, she's been sleeping from 8-3 or 4 every night and then waking for a bottle...then the problems begin...She normally wakes between 6 and 7 depending on when she woke up for the bottle over night.....and gets a bottle
from then on she's up and cranky until her next bottle which she normally wants early no matter what time she had her morning bottle at....she starts getting cranky at 8:00ish and I'll normally start giving her bottle to her at around 9:00ish just so that there is at least a 3 hour stretch in between bottles....she will only go down for a nap at 10:30ish 11...what do I do in that stretch, she's not happy in her swing or anywhere!!!! All she does is kvetch and cry...What am I doing wrong????

 | Re: Need help with sleep and eating schedule Hi I dont think you are doing anything wrong ~ this is your daughters schedule. My DS was up a couple of times in the middle of the night and was feeding 2-3 hours. He has been a terrible napper (does not take naps during the day ~ too long)
Are you giving her a bottle between 6-7 and then 8? I was trying to be strict with the 3 hour but my pediatrician told me to feed him on demand when my DS was fussy he was actually really hungry ~ maybe ask your pediatrician for some suggestions.

 Good Luck!

I agree with this. When I read your post, I was thinking that maybe she is hungry. Also I've found that when my DD is fussy the techniques from Happiest Baby on the Block help tremendously! Especially when I can't figure out why she's fussing. She stops almost immediately! GL

Thanks, I don't, do you think I should give her just a little since she's eating now 6oz at a clip so maybe like 3 oz to hold her over to her next feeding???

I think (could be wrong) that they went so many hours without food that they are extra hungry. I tend to give him another bottle earlier then normal. He is drinking 6 oz every 3 hours now and he will usually take about 4 at that time and then take a nap. |
