Need help with skirt

I have a beige courdoury skirt (above knee) that i got on sale from banana republic...its cute, but i have know idea what kind of tight/stocking to wear...i guss i would wear with boots...but i'm not sure if black tight would look weird..any advice?

I have a beige cord skirt and I have worn it with black tights and boots as well as brown tights and boots. Usually if I wear it with black tights and boots I will wear a black or dark top, brown usually makes me want to wear pink or light blue.
