Need help with potty trainign for poop,we are good with pee..

My dd wil pee on the potty no problem, she will usually wake up dry but will not poop on the potty. I still have her in pull ups and sometimes she refuses to go in them either and just holds it for days. Any advice?

My DD did the same thing. Right away she was amazing with going pee pee, dry in the morning as well. She didn't go poop though for 5 days!!!! I put her in pull ups also but when I called the doctor, they said that is a bad idea. So I went to the store and bought prune juice, prune butter, raisin bran, etc. She eventually went - in her undies. She did that about 3 or 4 times and finally went on the potty (almost by accident) and was SOOOOOO proud of herself she never went in her undies again. The doctor told me they could give me the name of a gentle laxative if she still didn't go and then she would almost have no choice. Once they are constipated, they associate that with pain and there for hold in it and only make it worse. Hang in there, it shouldn't be long
