Need help with my deck

Can anyone tell me what I can do to make my deck look nicer surrounding my above ground pool? Any inexpensive options out there? The previous owners did not take care of it. There is green mold, some boards are popping up, and some can easily get a splinter.

If you want to DIY, You can powerwash the green off, or just sand and repaint the entire deck... i would also replace the bad pieces of wood and then paint those too.

Haven't used this, but DH and I recently saw this at Home Depot and thought about trying it when our deck needs it

I used deck restore and althought it does exactly what it claims it will do, I wish I never used it. My deck had green mold and I didn't know how to get it off so I bought this stuff. It gives it a sandy texture and I prefer the look of a stained deck. It has sand mixed in with the paint so I think its going to be difficult ot get off. My deck wasn't in bad shape but my husband and I are not handy at all and this was the easiest thing. You should replace the boards that are loose and sand and stain your deck. Oh and my deck grew new mold over the deck restore so now I have to buy more deck restore to cover it up.

Rescrew the boards that aren't too bad. Replace the boards that are really warped, then sand the entire deck. If it isn't too big, you can use a belt sander. If the deck is fairly large, you can rent a floor sander.
Once it's sanded, it's essentially brand new wood, so you can stain it whatever shade/color you'd like.
