Need help with my 4 month old....

He goes to bed around 8pm and usually sleeps until 2am, eats and then down for a few more hours. WELL... The past 3 nights he's up every 2 hours fussing. Ive tried rocking him, letting him fuss, feeding him, laying with him. Why is he going backwards Chat Icon About a month ago he actually slept through the night!! and now he's back to being up every 2 hours! He's also still swaddled at night, which I tried stopping and he uses a pacifier. ANY SUGGESTIONS????? should I let him cry or keep giving him the paci? HELP

Any I am working full time Chat Icon

I'm in the same boat as you! Exact same! Chat Icon

My son started sleeping through the night at 2 1/2 months. Then a few weeks later, he stopped. About a week ago i had a post up because he started waking 3 times a night (ds is almost 4 months now). Chat Icon Most people said it's probably a growth spurt. It lasted about a week and now he's back to getting up around 2am. however last night he got up at 11:30pm and then 3am. So i don't know. This is totally an old wives tale. DS was on cereal at 4 months, all table food by 11 months and we still had to do CIO at 12 months oldChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I wouldn't do CIO at 4 months. My ped recommended it at 5, but honestly it didn't work til he was a year old.

This happened to my first DS at 4 months. He started TEETHING and it was all down him from there. Finally at the age of 2 he has a couple of good night here and there.

This happened to us this week. Only he was getting up at 4AM every night.

How is he napping? Did his schedule change at all?

I notice when DS doesn't nap well during the day, then nightime is a nightmare.

My son did this too - he was doing better (he never really did awesome until recently) and then around 4 months regressed to every 2-3 hrs again Chat Icon . Someone posted it's a developmental thing at that age.

Re: Need help with my 4 month old....

Sleep regression at 4 months is pretty common I've come to find out... Apparently babies go through a huge developement spurt around then -Found this great explanation of itL http://www.askmoxie.org/2006/02/qa_what_are_sle.html

Good thing is, it only last a week or so....
