Need help with gift for MIL...
My mil's birthday is this week and I have NO IDEA what to get her. My SIL called yesturday and said that we should get her a Nintendo DS becuase she was watching the kids play it and MIL said it looked fun. Umm....No! Just because she said it looked fun...doesnt mean she wants one!!!! trust me on this one!!!!
She does not get her nails done, or spa treatments, she dosent like gift certificates.
So, my question is...what did you get your mother or mother in law for their birthday this year?
Help me!!!

Digital photo frame? My SIL got her a Louis Vuitton bag.........
ETA becuz I totally overlooked that she doesn't like gc's.

She likes to sew, garden, flowers, likes to cook. Loves being a grandmother. Loves QVC.
I wanted to do someting meaningful, but can't think what.

Maybe enroll her in some kind of cooking class?
I know you said she doesn't like gc's but maybe she would like one to the local gardening center.
Or a crafts store? Sewing mag subscription?

if she likes gardening - i got my MIL gardening gloves with her intials embroidered in them for her birthday last year (redenvelope.com)
in the past i've also given her a coach wallet, perfume, LL bean slippers...
