Need Help which do you think is better?
My dh's 30th B-day is coming up in June and I really can't spend too much but yet I have about 50 adults and 15 kids if everyone responds yes. So heres my question should I have his party (surprise) at my mothers house who has very large property and rent chairs/tables or at a marina on the beach private under a cazibo with bench tables/chairs also has a very nice playground right next to it for the children. Either way I will be buying and making the food. But would a 30th party be tacky at a marina?

I think the marina sounds great...the only upside I see to your Mom's is that you have more time to set up and clean up, and more space to cook...either one will be fine, so pick the one that will be easier...

I agree. I think they're both fine, but you might be more comfortable/less stressed at your mom's. It will also probably be easier to surprise him if it's a surprise

I would have it at your mother's place so that there's no time restriction on the party.
Also, I personally skeeve public restrooms so I'd rather be in a place like my parents house for use of the, um, facilities!

Go to the marina - it is such a nuisance to have a big home party with table/chair rentals. Let them do the work.
