need help w. how to pick out sink & faucet
we have a guy that just installed our new dishwasher and i asked him about helping us to install a new sink and faucet.
right now, our faucet has 4 holes. we don't have to choose a sink or faucet with 4 holes right? we found a faucet using 2 holes and also a sink with 2 holes to go with it. is that ok? is there more to replacing these than just picking out what i like?
please help!

If you are buying a new sink and faucet, then just make sure that those two coordinate. The holes are for the handles, spigot, and sprayer. Some faucets have the single handle, some have separate handles.
The water supply lines will hook up to any faucet. You may need to modify the lines a bit, but it's very simple for a plumber to do that. It's a non-issue if you have flexible supply lines already.

One piece of advise. Make sure the faucet you get is made for a drop in sink. The people who own our house before us purchase a gorgeous faucet, but one that is made for an undermount sink (you would have holes drilled into granite), thus being too large for the sink and causing leak issuses.

Also, some faucets come with plates that will cover the extra holes if you don't use all of them.
I had a single hole faucet that I changed myself in under half an hour - it was really easy, all I needed was a screw driver.
