Need help regarding Tantrums
My 3.7 year old son was just evaluated for speech and did not do well on 2 sections which is okay with me. The problem I have is his behavior. He hits, punches and kicks me and he now is doing around other relatives (now I have witnesses-never does to his father). I thought this was normal behavior but the school district says it is not and want him to attend DDI. So my question is does this behavior warrant going to a special school?

I would imagine tantrums are normal at a certain age.
Lord knows all kids have them.
I am guessing that it would be the level of behavior that would determine if they needed special services.
I would assume there are differences between normal, age related tantrums, and behavior problems.
But I am no expert in the field.
