Need help finding transitional or contemporary dining room lighting
We just got a new dining room set and now we need a light fixture, which is my parents' Chanukah present for us. Our style leans toward the contemporary, but not ultra-modern. Somewhere on the contemporary side of transitional, to moderately contemporary. Mostly, we like fairly clean lines. We looked around today, and what we liked best is not typical dining room lighting:
We were concerned that it might not give enough light to the whole room, but they also sell the pendants as singles, and we could add one on each side of the 5-light fixture.
Slightly more typical was this:

that last one's nice.
i'm in the market too, and have no idea what to get. there are so many options out there. a friend suggested soho. there's plenty of lighting boutiques there for inspiration. gunna check that out.
