Need help figuring out due date
I just went through my first IVF cycle. I had my ER on 7/15 and my ET on 7/18. If I figured it out correctly, I think it would make me 5 weeks tomorrow.
I just spoke to my RE and he wants to do my first sono on 8/18 - making me just about 7 weeks. I asked him how far along I would be, and he said about 6 - 6 1/2 weeks at that time. Am I miscalculating my due date?
And girls who have been to an RE to get PG, when was your first sono? I thought I would have one a little bit earlier than 7 weeks.
TIA

Re: Need help figuring out due date
You are 4 weeks, 6 days today and your EDD is April 7th.
When doing IVF they always calculate your due date based on your ER which was basically your O day.....they do not go by your LMP....
HTH!! Congrats again!!
ETA: my first sono was at 5w2d to confirm uterine pregnancy (and not ectopic) and then at 6weeks to hear and see the heartbeat!

Re: Need help figuring out due date
Try this website... It's pretty acurate give or take a day. It calculated my due date as 2/8, but the doctor is calculating 2/9
IVF Due Date Calculator
you can also go to www.babymed.com
My first sono was at 5w2d
I think some RE's just want to wait until 6 weeks or so so they can see the heartbeat.

Re: Need help figuring out due date
Yeah, I thought I was 4w6d too, but the nurse on the phone said they count from ET, not ER. Hmmmm
I am assuming that the doctor wants to wait a bit so he can see/hear a heartbeat, but I hate having to wait two weeks to ensure it's not ectopic.
Thanks for your help!!

Re: Need help figuring out due date
I am still seeing my RE and have been getting sono's once a week since 5 weeks.....they did my beta...can out positive, then went back 2 days later for the 2nd beta....then the following week, at 5wks, had my first sono. This week, I am "graduating" my RE and will have my last sono with them at 8wks

Re: Need help figuring out due date
I wonder if waiting this long is normal.
Does/Did anyone go to LI-IVF? Is this normally how long they wait?

Re: Need help figuring out due date
I didn't do IVF - I did IUI so i am not sure how to calculate the due date, but my first sono with the RE was at 5 and a half weeks. I had one with them every week until 8 weeks, then I was released to my ob.
