Need help decorating brainstorming....

BF has french doors that open to his roommates room. They are narrower than a full size door, has individual panes of square glass, about 8"x6" each.

We are trying to figure out a way to make it darker (for when his roommate watches TV/plays games at 3am)

Currently have a bamboo screen that we can pull up and down, but want something darker.

Maybe temporary frosting on the window? Tinting I think would look yucky.

Suggestions?

I thik ther are frosting sprays you can buy at craft stores, which will give you privacy, but I'm not sure how much light it will block.

since they rent, something in a spary, that can't be removed, might not be a good idea.

I found on-line peel & stick frost. Yeah, I am afraid it'll still just make it private, but not block the light.

what about attaching a black out curtain? maybe with velcro so you can put it up/ remove it as needed.

I know, I know....it's just us that sees it, but wanted something a little more appealing to look at. and could remain up, so we don't need to put it up and down.

They do make curtains for French doors. They are usually just panels that fit tightly over the glass portion. My Mom's are held up with tension rods.
