Need hair help-please

Ok so I've worn my hair in a very similar style for about 6 years, its sort of a slightly longer version of the lisa rinna hair-not quite as choppy lately



I think I need a change, my hair has a slight wave, it likes to flip up so this style works for me. I am a cosmotology SPAZ, so I can't have a style that requires detailed blow drying or flat irons or whatever else. I'm more of a nature girl than a glamour girl. I'm also pushing forty so while I'd like to look young I'd like a style that is age appropriate.
I like my hair just short of my shoulders or touching my shoulders but I'd consider going shorter. I've never had really short hair though.
I'm open to opinions

maybe something like this... IMHO i think you need either the bangs or the flips..

i agree with the PP - you need a style that will allow you to grow the top and side layers longer, and grow your bangs out for a softer look.
