Need food ideas for the newly picky eater

DS2 is 10.5 months old. He had been a great eater and loved both purees and table food. He just got over a fever. Since he has been sick, he has completely rejected baby food. He has also started rejecting food he used to love like cut up berries and cheese. He'll only eat puffs, yogurt melts and rice cakes. Chat Icon DS1 went through a long picky phase, but he a least had a handful of foods that he ate.

Could this just be related to his illness or maybe teething? Feeding him meals has been really difficult this week. He spits everything out and throws it. Any ideas on what I can offer him especially for breakfast?

DD goes through phases with eating and not. Sometimes she'll do better with bigger pieces and throws the small ones on the floor. Does he have front teeth? DD likes waffles cut into strips. She eats scrambled eggs with a little cheese mixed in, blueberry pancakes, bananas. I used to put bananas on a fork and let her feed herself that way when she was picky and it worked. She also took pouches well during those phases. I'll also give her toast, muffins, cheerios, kashi cereal bars. Can you put some sunflower butter on a rice cake?

My dd loves baby oatmeal with a baby food fruit pouch mixed in. Shes 18 months and its still her favorite breakfast. Also, if your little one is teething it might be easier on them.

I know that when I am sick, all fruit is way too acidic for me and hurts my tongue and throat. Not sure about the cheese though. What about yogurt, hummus, soft cooked carrots?
