Need flowering tree ideas
We are desperately trying to decide what flowering tree to put in the back corner of our property. We would like something that blooms for longer than say a week
We are thinking of the dynamite crape myrtle.. I LOVE it.. but I cannot find it in a single stem and am not talented enough to train it into a single stem.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I was going to suggest a crape myrtle too.
What about a flowering cherry tree. They are really gorgeous!

I LOVE the Kousa Dogwood Trees. They vary in sizes too. You can get very large ones or small too. They're gorgeous!

Re: Need flowering tree ideas
Here is our Crepe Myrtle. It might not be for everyone, but it was already on our property. So I looked into when you can prune it and we pruned it in very early Spring. And we pruned it up a lot. We love how it looks now. Now I'm just waiting for August when it will start to bloom.
Before
After
Boy it was just a big old bush mess the last 2.5 years. So glad we pruned it. Sorry I don't know where to buy a single trunk tree from. Have you asked at a place like Hick's if they can get one for you? Or any other big nursery. GL!

My MIL loves this tree! Very pretty, I wonder how long it blooms for.
