Need Feedback PLEASE
Has anyone here ever used The Animal Wellness Center in huntington? Any feed back would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to decide if i should continue with them or bring our dog to our regular vet. I am not too sure about this whole hollistic healing thing.

Re: Need Feedback PLEASE
I take the same approach as I do with my own care......sometimes there is a time for holistic, and sometimes there is a time for western medicine. If you can have the two work in concert with each other, that is IMO the way to get the best of both worlds.
For everyday and maintenance, I think holistic is fine as long as they are checking blood and stool samples.

I agree, my dogs all eat holistic food and treats for a little while now. Out trainer turned us on to this. And it has been so much better for them health wise and i can see the difference in thier attitudes. BUT, my dog has had a urinary tract infection for the last month. NOTHING this vet has given her is working. Today, she got acupunture. I don't know, i am starting to wonder if i should take her to my regular vet or if i should just keep taking her to this one. I just don't know why none of this medicine is working. And everytime we are in the office the patients rave about that place. I don't doubt he is good but why isn't she getting any better after a month. I have never seen a urinary tract last this long.

Re: Need Feedback PLEASE
Well, if nothing has worked for the UTI in a reasonable amount of time, then I would definitely go to a traditional vet. A month is too long to have an infection IMO. Different dogs will react differently to different treatments. Even in western medicine there are instances (not to scarce) where you begin one course of treatment and then change to another to aid or replace the first.
Hope your pup feels better soon
