need curtain help
i just moved and i have a large open living room. the walls are painted BM Autumn Leaf:
with one accent wall BM Acorn:
the carpet is a coordinating tan color (sorry i dont know the name exactly)
one wall has our tv mounted on it, the accent wall will become a gallery wall, and opposite of the TV are three windows (all attached to each other).
these are our couches (those are not my walls):
we also have a large dark brown leather ottoman and a dark brown leather bench
i need to buy curtains but i dont know what color to go with. originally i wanted to go with light blue accents for the room because i love blue and brown together, but i just love how warm the paint colors are and im not sure i want to cool it off with blue. so now i have NO idea what color to go with. im worried if i go neutral the room will be too bland (although i will have the gallery wall and i plan to purchase some art pieces as well).
please help!! im usually great with color but i feel stumped on this one! TIA!

Re: need curtain help
I think that you could add more then 1 accent color since all the current colors are in the same tan/beige family. Aside from curtains I'd add color in accent pillows, lamp shades, and decor stuff (vases and picture frames).
If you like blue then go for it. I think since all of your major components are warm, the lighter colors could only add to it.

thanks!! i am def planning on adding a lot of the accent color in other components. i just need to get the curtains out of the way first so i want to make sure i pick a color that will look good so that i can work the other elements around it.
would a deep maroon red be weird? maybe im just looking into it too much but i just want to make sure the room stays warm and family-like!!

Re: need curtain help
I would do a white or cream (if you want to keep it warm) curtains to brighten up all the beige/tan. It would provide contrast, but still keep it clean and neutral.
You'd have endless color options to accessorize with in terms of throw pillows, vases, etc. You could switch things out with the seasons -- e.g., go with the light blues now that it's summer, deep red in winter, yellows and greens in spring, etc.

Re: need curtain help
I have the exact same paint colors in my formal living room, right down to the accent wall color you have! I have a camel color leather sofa and an ivory fabric loveseat. Honestly, I wouldn't do a maroon. Inasmuch as I love the colors in my room, I knew it needed to be lightened up. I also have three floor to ceiling windows. I have cream color sheers with peachy panels on the ends. The color accent of my pillows, and in my area rug I went with to complement everything and pull it all together is aqua. HTH!

Nice colors but it needs to be brightened with some splashed of lighter colors.
I would do striped or plaid panels in shades of blue, green, ivory, tans and browns and then incorporate throw pillows with the same colors.
