Need Costume help--to make or to buy

So I got this idea in my head that I want to make Sabrina be a cupcake for Halloween. I found directions online for how to make the costume. Someone suggested taking the wire out of a cheap lampshade for the wrapper, then a large piece of fleece fabric as the icing and then some glitter as sprinkles. It *sounds* easy but I am hesitant.

Do I really want to make a costume?

If I don't make it, what should she be for Halloween? I don't have a clue. Last year she was a baby giraffe.

Well, how crafty are you? How much free time will you have to devote to it? The worst thing will be if you want to make it, and then the week before Halloween you're running out of time and are stressing b/c you still have to make the costume (and there are limited sizes/options of pre-made ones available at that time).

I say, if you have the time & know-how, go for it! I'd love to be able to make DD's costume but I have no talent or patience.

Homemade costumes are the best! I would try to make it and just have a back up plan in case it doesn't turn out like you wanted. It sounds adorable!!

I was just feeling guilty because my mom made me the best costumes!

Honestly, you have a lot going on with work and school....Unless you really have the time or desire I say buy one.

I *think* i saw a cute lady bug costume at Gymboree. She would also be an adorable cowgirl (you like riding) or butterfly. She likes cats- a cat?

I try to find costumes that are comfy so Connor will be OK with wearing them for more than a minute.

I know she be be adorable in whatever you chose Chat Icon
