Need Babyproofing help! Please recc your fav products! Also some q's...

Hi ladies - I need to do some serious baby proofing but I am overwhelmed by all the different brands and choices - please recc your fav baby proofing products for the basics. TIA!

Also - I need a rec for a very hard to open gate - DS has already opened gates at two of my friends houses! It will go at the top of the stairs - TIA!

And, I have a big wall unit - it comes in two pieces - can this be safely secured to the wall or should i move it?

Finally, anyone know of a product for the back of the door area - by the hinge that actually works?

THANKS SO MUCH IN ADVANCE!!!!!!!

I have purchased most of the "common" items from BRU or TRU. Other more unique items, I have seen at onestepahead.com

As for gate, we have and use this one.

Troy is 21 mos and has reached for the "handle" area where you would open the gate, but not been able to open it.

Good Luck!

You can screw a strap from basically any piece of furniture to a wall stud. They even have kits for just that. I take a length of strapping that I have around the house, cut a length, and screw it into the back of the cabinet, then the other end goes into the wall at one of the studs. *I* could hang from the bookcase at that point, and it's not going anywhere...
