Need Advice...
So yesterday I found out I was pregnant. We are beyond excited but also very nervous and surprised since I'm only about 4 weeks along. We didn't think it would happen so quickly as we only started trying in March. I have a number of events, drinking related events coming up in the next week or so such as an out of state bachelorette party, wedding and bday celebration. I'm usually the first one with a drink in hand at any party and I smoke socially. I don't want to tell people because it's still super early but I don't know how to hide the fact I'm not partying along with them. Any advice on how to keep it a secret without letting the cat outta the bag?

I had to go out a coupe times in the beginning too, and I would order a cranberry juice or something like that. Then people think you are drinking even though there is no alcohol in it. As far as the smoking, I don't smoke, but just say you are trying to quit!

I tried the sick route, "I am on anti-biotics". Or I drank to much last night and I cant even think of it.  Congrats!!

If you normally drink mixed drinks, just get cranberry juice and sprite or something that looks like a drink.
For me (we did this this weekend to throw off my family): rinse a beer can out and run it through the dishwasher. Then I drank water from it (after being cleaned out it didn't taste or smell like beer at all). It's very convincing lol

trust me I never missed a happy hour pre-pregnancy and I am 11 weeks along and managed to fool everyone at 2 happy hours already!!! I whispered to the bartender that I was pregnant and I ordered a coke but asked her to make it look like a rum & coke, so she put it in a short glass with a lime and a cocktail straw

I have to say even though you try and fool people many will suspect and be nice enough to just not say anything. I tried to fool people but once I announced it they said they noticed me not drinking or drinking soemthing different or whatever the excuse was at the time.
