Re: Need advice...
I have been on a leave from my job since mid June of 06. I am very fortunate to have been able to take this time off.
MAybe a receptonist job would be good for you? Perhaps some kind of customer service? I am sure that things will start opening up soon as many college students return to school.
Good luck

Re: Need advice...
I'm still working...but I sit on my butt all day in my office My last day is 8/31, I'll be 37 weeks by then.
Maybe you can get a job doing light office work? I'm not sure what kind of experience you have.

I am still working. I commute to NYC and plan on doing so until I am 37 weeks ( I am 31 now). Then the last 2 weeks I will work from home. Of course unless the baby comes early.

Yeah, I'm working too (23 weeks) and plan to do so till the end. Most days I sit at a desk, though there are some days I'm on my feet. They're not so often though, and not all day.
Yes, office work would be a good thing now. It's not as taxing physically.

Re: Need advice...
I worked up until 39 weeks and 4 days and I would've worked even longer since my little one still hasn't made her arrival and I'm 40 weeks and 3 days but my blood pressure went up and I was told by my Dr. to stop working. I would suggest some sort of office work since you wouldn't be on your feet as much-what about working in Dr.'s office? They are always looking for help and you wouldn't be on your feet constantly.

Re: Need advice...
I worked til i was 8 months pregnant-- Im an OR nurse was on my feet all day doing Orthopedic surgery... and probably would have finished out til i delivered, but took off b/c DH was being stationed elsewhere-- I recently went back to work-- and I am working a few hours in the evening a couple of days a week-- so i dont need daycare, and my DH can watch the baby... its an easy transition to go back to work per diem--
