Need a snappy comeback...
I am approximately 4 days from my ER and I feel like cr@p. On top of feeling like a pin cushion and being bruised, hormonal, over-tired and bloated, I am fighting a head cold.
When people see that I am not my normal perky self and question me, I blame my IVF cycle and move on.
Two people have told me that I will feel worse when I am pregnant. This is aggrivating the snot out of me.
Oh really, Jerkwad?! Did you give yourself 3 injections a day when you were pregnant?! Did you have daily bloodtests and sonos? Spend thousands you don't have for the chance at making a baby? Shut the hell up!
Does anyone have a better comeback then the one I am planning to use? I hate people.

Come on...is that all you've got?
Tell us how you really feel!
j/k I like that response. Moreso, I would just say..."thanks, that's really helpful."

Personally I would tell them that once your PG you don't care how terrible you feel if in 9 months it = a baby.
People are so stupid sometimes- they just don't think. I have certain family members say things like that to me all the time--- and I want to scream!
Maybe you should pull out your needles and vials of meds and ask them if they wanna bet? Tell them you've been dealing w/ IF long enough that you could be their nurse and give them injections- and show them your schedule of when your appointments are -- how frequently, what they do there, etc... that'll shut em up!

What about...
Actually, I'll feel BETTER when I'm pregnant because the physical pain won't matter when I'm carrying a BABY!

Re: Need a snappy comeback...
I know how you feel. It's rough when you are closer to your ER date b/c your ovaries are the size of grapefruits. People do NOT understand!! I am now preg. through IVF and unfortunately, I give myself 2 shots a day of blood thinners and still go for constant bloodwork and sonos. I have been giving myself shots since I was 10 weeks preg. and now I am 32.6 weeks. All I can say is the shots still stink and all the appts. but knowing what we have all had to go through to get here makes it all worth it. You over look the pain. I wish you all the best. You just have to ignore people that don't have a clue. I prob. would have started crying b/c that's all I did and still do b/c of my hormones!!
