Need a pediatric GI recommendation in the western suffolk area
DS just turned 16 weeks old. He had a pretty tough colic issue. That seems to have subsided ...but not.completely. He still has reflux. He's drooling more and when I lay him on his activity mat after he's been sitting up for awhile after his bottle, he starts to cough sometimes and with it this clear somewhat milky fluid comes up and its been over an hour since his bottle. I have been adding cereal to help with the reflux but, this drooling is new. He was taking zantac prescribed by his pediatrician but, it does not work so I.stopped giving it to.him. Plus he'd scream when I would give it to him. I think its time for a GI ...

We used the The Center For Pediatric Specialty Care
655 Deer Park Avenue
Babylon, NY 11702
(631) 321-2100
Dr. Gold is supposed to be very good there, and we see Dr. Gueverra. There is also a third GI doc there.
My ped recommended them over Stony Brook GI docs
ETA: The drooling may be his teeth. My DS got his bottom 2 at 4 months.

Dr. Gold is supposed to be very good there, and we see Dr. Gueverra. There is also a third GI doc there.

Really? Wow, you know.I.was looking at his bottom.gums and there is white inside his gums but, dh said maybe it was the film from the formula....
Ugh, I just put him in his crib to sleep and after only an hour he woke up crying... Oh wait he got quiet maybe he will sleep for a good 5 hours ... that's my other problem with him is.he doesn't sleep thru the night yet. It only happened two times!! So frustrating...
Oh I jinxed myself, he's up again... I don't want to let him cry for.too long but, I seriously can't function on no sleep anymore. I may even have to quit my job to find something part time. Sorry... I'm rambling..

we saw Dr. Gueverra, and if don't lay him flat on his back, DS slept in a swing i would say until he was about 9 months old, if to older.

I called Dr Golds practice and was told he isn't available until a few months from now :( I made an appointment with Dr Gueverra for 130 this afternoon. Last night Ds screamed his head off so bad that his face turned beet red and he started coughing and crying hysterical for 2 hours. I'm also switching peds bc I spoke to him yesterday and he did no take my concerns seriously. I think Lo has bad reflux! I hope he will be okay. :(
