Need a new front door
It never ends... So, the frame around the glass within the exterior front door cracked and I was just trying to get that part replaced and it's turned into such a headcahe.
This door company I have been working with, keeps sending the wrong part! It's become so annoying that it looks like I may just have to buy a new door.
I'm just looking for a door that's the most affordable.
I called Home Depot and it sounds like the door is $250-$300. But then the installation and reinsertion of my storm door will be extra.. In the end were talking about spending
$700-800. That's really going to set me back..
Anybody know of where i can get this done alittle cheaper??

Did you check if you have a warranty on the door? I purchased my door at Lowes back in 2006. Fast fwd to now, my door is destroyed from the sun, started to welt and with these freezing temps, cold air constantly blowing in. To my surprise, we still had the receipt from the door. Called Lowes and surprisingly we had a warranty in it till 2016. They sent a Pella rep to come check it out and few weeks after, Pella returned with a brand new door at no cost to me.
Def do some digging.

maybe you can get a handy man to install it it might come out cheaper.

When I bought the house the door was already in.
The previous owner did not leave behind a receipt.
There is nothing on the side of the door to indicate what brand it is... For example a jeld wen or pella door ..
